She's The Man Chapter 13
“Alex.” Ashley screamed as she turned to look at her current boyfriend. “Leave me alone.” Hayley groaned as she grabbed a menu and placed it in front of her face. “Alex.” Ashley laughed, annoyance lacing her tone. “Stay away.” Hayley called over her shoulder and she quickly turned on her heal and headed for the door. “Alex!” Ashley screeched as she blocked the door of the pizza parlor. “We’re over.” Hayley screamed as she threw down the menu and headed towards the back of the restaurant where all the pool tables were resting. “What?” Ashley gasped, stopping short in her spot. “Hell no.” Ashley pushed through the crowd of men and started chasing after Hayley. Hayley turned around quickly and sprinted towards the front of the restaurant, swerving between the tables, trying to get her brother’s girlfriend off her tail. “She’s crazy.” Hayley mumbled as she ran behind the counter of the small restaurant. “I love you.” Ashley cried as she pushed a small girl aside. “Ashley, don’t get me wrong, very hot but that’s all you have. There are plenty of other girls like you in the world and I’m done with them.” “Take that back.” Ashley hissed as she flipped her brown hair over her shoulder. “And when I close my eyes I see you for who you really are…UGLY.” Hayley continued on as if Ashley had said nothing. With a slight smirk on her face, Hayley turned to face Ashley and got ready for the big finished. “We’re over.” Ashley froze in her spot and chewed on her lip as everyone began to cheer and laugh at her. Anger pulsed through her veins as a waiter ran into her, spilling her pitcher of coke down her back. “Sorry.” The waitress chuckled as she dropped the pitcher and went to grab a towel. Ashley looked up from her soaked shirt and glared at Hayley before letting a blood curling scream escape her lips. With one last stomp on the ground, Ashley turned on her heel and stormed out the door leaving a grinning Hayley standing in the middle of the restaurant. Jeremy and Zac jumped out of the booth that they were sitting in and ran over to Hayley and slapping him on the back. Zac grinned down at Hayley as she left out a quiet sigh of relief. Josh looked up at his room mate and rolled his eyes before standing up and walking over to his friends. With his hands deep in his pockets Josh looked up and stared at Hayley. Her lip was caught between her teeth as she waited for Josh to say something, anything. “You the man.” Zac chuckled as he looked at his brother, nodding his head slowly. “Sure.” Hayley grinned as she headed for the booth. She turned back to Taylor and sent him a wink before sliding in the bench next to Zac. “You’re my idol.” Zac chuckled as he took a bit of his pizza that was left on his plate. “Thanks man.” Hayley coughed, trying to hid her high voice. “You okay there man?” Josh asked with a raised eyebrow. “I’m fine.” Hayley laughed. “Hey Alex.” Jeremy sighed as he looked up from the table. “Do you think I can that Sarah girl’s number?” “I’ll ask for you.” Hayley smirked, thinking about what Sarah’s reaction would be. “She would probably be okay with it.” “Sweet.” Jeremy nodded as he took a long sip of his drink. ~*~ The next day at school everyone turned to look at Hayley as she walked through the halls. At first she thought it was because she forgot to put her wig on or something but as she touched the top of her head and felt the smooth hair that was there, she knew it was something else. Girls were smiling at her and waving while the guys just grinned and nodded their heads. It then just hit her that Hayley has become, dare she say it, popular. With a slight smirk on her face Hayley walked up the stairs and waved to her staring admirers. “Hey Alex.” Hayley turned around and cocked her head to the side as she watched Zac jog over to her. “Hi?” Hayley questioned as she fixed her bangs. “Can I ask you something?” “Sure…” “I need some help with uh the ladies.” Zac blushed. “Well I’m sure I can help you with that.” Hayley chuckled softly. “I like this one girl but she doesn’t even know I exist.” “Just talk to her.” Hayley shrugged. “Compliment her shoes, girls love that.” ~*~ “So how long were you two dating anyway?” Josh asked as he tapped his pencil against his desk. Cause baby you're a firework Hayley blushed and grabbed her phone from her pocket before hitting the ignore the button without even checking the caller id. Josh sent her a look as she laughed nervously. She completely forgot to change her ring tone as part of her transformation so now all her new friends knew she had a Katy Perry Ringtone. Damn. “It was Ashley.” Hayley explained. “She set that as her caller id and I never changed it.” “I see.” Jeremy chuckled as he took his seat next to Josh. “Oh my god.” Josh mumbled as he turned his eyes away from the door. “Dude, what is it?” Jeremy whispered as he sent Hayley a look, who simply shrugged. “She’s in this class.” Josh muttered causing Jeremy to snap his head up and chuckled softly. “Dude stop blushing.” Hayley mumbled as she turned to Josh. “It’s lame.” “I’m not blushing.” Josh hissed. “Sure you’re not.” Hayley chuckled. “Okay class welcome to Biology.” The teacher clapped as she walked into the room. “I’m Mrs. Evans and I have the honor of being your science teacher this year.” Hayley took her seat across from Josh and blushed as she caught herself staring at him. It was wrong, they were room mates after all and he thought she was a guy. “Now everyone come here and pick your lab partner from the bowl.” Mrs. Evans smiled as she walked over to Josh and Hayley, holding the bowl out. Josh sighed and picked out a name. Hayley grabbed one as well and held the crinkled paper in her palm, waiting to see who Josh picked. “Emily Patty?” Josh questioned as he looked up and turned to look at the smiling girl who was waving at him. “Just great.” Josh mumbled. “Be nice.” Hayley scolded as she slapped his arm. “Yea man.” Jeremy chuckled. Josh mumbled something under his breath as he shook his head. Jeremy but his lip to hid a laugh as they turned to look at Emily. Her hair was a mess, sticking out in different directions while her glasses sat on the bridge of her nose. A small sniffle came from her direction as she grabbed a tissue and blew her nose before turning her attention back to the book she was reading. “Good luck.” Jeremy whispered as Josh simply rolled his eyes. “Well I have Cassadee Pope.” Hayley sighed as she opened the slip of paper, shrugging her shoulders. Hayley looked over at the brunette standing in the corner and sent her a small wave. “You know her?” Josh whispered as he noticed Cassadee wave back. “We talked for about a second.” Hayley shrugged once more. “Dude switch with me.” Josh begged as he turned to look at Hayley. “I can’t.” Hayley smirked. “I uh said her name out loud.” “Sorry dude.” Jeremy whispered as he walked over towards his partner. “Damn it.” Josh hissed, rubbing his forehead.
“That was awesome.” Josh grinned as he slapped Hayley’s back.
“You want to sit with us?” Josh asked as he nodded towards the bench.
“Too long.” Hayley groaned.
Come on show 'em what your worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
“Dude she gave you the nod.” Jeremy grinned, earning a small glare from Josh.
